How to Use the Policy Summarize Feature

Policy Summarize Overview
The Policy Summarize feature in Momentum AI allows you to upload policy documents and receive a structured summary of the key information. Instead of reading through lengthy policy files, AI extracts the most important details, saving time and helping your team quickly review coverage terms, limits, and endorsements.

Step 1: Access the Policy Summarize Tool

Log in to Momentum AMS.
From the left navigation, click Momentum AMP.
Select Momentum AI (opens in a new tab).
In the AI Center, click AI Scans.
Choose Policy Summarize.

Step 2: Upload the Policy Document

Upload your policy document as a PDF file.
The AI will process the document and extract the following key details:
- Policy Number
- Named Insured
- Effective and Expiration Dates
- Coverage Types and Limits
- Endorsements or Exclusions

Step 3: Review the Summary

Once processed, AI provides a structured summary of the uploaded policy.
Review the extracted information for accuracy.
The AI will respond with: Would you like to:
- Add this insured/prospect in AMS?
- Add this policy/quote in AMS?
- Translate these details to Spanish?

Step 4: Insured/Prospect Updated

The insured/prospect is updated and policy created
Attach any files to Documents

Best Practices for Policy Summarize
• Always upload complete, legible PDF policy documents for best results.
• Verify extracted data — especially coverage limits and endorsements — before relying on the summary.
• Attach the summary to the insured record for easy future reference.
• Use Policy Summarize alongside **Policy Compare** to quickly identify differences between renewal terms and prior policies.
