The Back9 integration allows Momentum AMS users to run life insurance quotes directly within the AMS without having to re-enter client information. This creates a seamless experience from initial data entry to quote generation.
1️⃣ Setting Up the Back9 Integration
From your Momentum AMS account, click your name in the top-right corner and select Profile.
Click on Configure API.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate Back9 Settings on the right-hand side.
Enter your NPN/NIPR number.
Click Submit to save your settings.
? Tip: Ensure your NPN/NIPR number is correct before saving to avoid integration errors.
2️⃣ Running a Life Insurance Quote with Back9
You can initiate a Back9 quote in multiple ways, but the most common is from inside a Prospect or Insured record.
From a Prospect or Insured Record
Open the Prospect or Insured record.
Go to Quotes/Opportunities → Quotes/Submissions → Applications.
Next to Quote Applications, click Add New, then select Life.
Complete or update all applicant information and click Save Changes.
Locate your new quote application, click Actions → Process Data → Launch Life Insurance Quote (Back9).
A new browser window will open showing the Back9 quote selection screen.
Select and adjust your quote as needed.

3️⃣ Support for Back9 Integration
If you experience any issues:
Verify that your NPN/NIPR number is entered correctly under Back9 Settings.
Ensure the applicant record in Momentum AMS has all required information before launching the quote.
