Call pop (also known as screen pop) is a feature that automatically displays customer information in Momentum AMS when you receive an incoming call. This gives you instant access to insured details, helping you answer calls with context and provide better service. Momentum AMS integrates with VoIP applications such as RingCentral, Vonage, and others by using an external app launch setting.
Why Use Call Pop?
✅ See who’s calling before you pick up.
✅ Automatically open the caller’s record in Momentum AMS.
✅ Save time searching for accounts while improving customer experience.
✅ A timestamped note is automatically created when the call is received.
Setting Up Call Pop
Enable External App Launching in Your VoIP Application
Open your VoIP desktop app or plugin.
Go to Settings.
Look for an option such as Launch an external app or URL on incoming call.
Enable this option.
Configure the Call Pop URL
In the field labeled Execute Command (or equivalent in your VoIP app), paste the following URL:
Replace www3 with the correct server number from your Momentum AMS URL (e.g.,
www4
).%P
is the placeholder used by RingCentral for the caller’s phone number. If you are using another VoIP provider, check their documentation for the correct placeholder.
Final Steps
Make sure you are logged into both Momentum AMS and your VoIP application in your default browser.
Place a test call from a number stored in Momentum AMS.
When the call comes in, a new browser tab will automatically open to the insured’s record in Momentum AMS.
A note with the call timestamp will also be created in the insured’s account.
Example: RingCentral Settings
In RingCentral, the configuration can be found in Settings → Calls → Launch an external app on incoming call. Paste the call pop URL into the provided field and save.
Final Thoughts
Call pop integration bridges your VoIP phone system with Momentum AMS, reducing lookup time and improving responsiveness. Once configured, your team will always have insured details at their fingertips the moment the phone rings.
