How to Use the COI Assistant

COI Assistant Overview
  The COI Assistant in Momentum AI helps you issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) faster by combining AI prompts with your AMS records. Instead of navigating multiple menus, you can simply request a certificate through the assistant, attach the correct holder, and send it directly from Momentum AMS.

Step 1: Access the COI Assistant

  • Log in to Momentum AMS.

  • From the left navigation, click Momentum AMP.

  • Select Momentum AI (opens in a new tab).

  • In the AI Center, click COI Assistant.

  • You can also access COI Assistant from Explore AMP's


Step 2: Choose a Prompt

  • On the COI Assistant screen, you’ll see sample prompts such as:

    • Please send certificate of insurance

    • Please send COI

  • Select one of these prompts and type in the name of the insured, or type your own request into the AI chat box.

Step 3: Provide Details

  • The COI Assistant will ask for required details, such as:

    • Insured’s name.

    • Certificate holder information.

    • Type of certificate (e.g., ACORD 25).

    • Additional insured or description of operations (if needed).

Step 4: Review and Send the COI

  • The assistant may not recognize the holder at first and ask for details of the holder.

  • if you are sure the holder exists, you can ask the assistant to double check before creating a duplicate.

  • The assistant will prepare the certificate using your AMS data.

  • Review the certificate details for accuracy.

  • Once confirmed, you can send the COI directly from the COI Assistant.


Best Practices for COI Assistant
  • Always verify certificate details (holder, coverage, limits) before sending.
  • Use COI Assistant for frequently requested, standard COIs — complex requests may still require manual review.
  • Attach COIs to the insured’s record for tracking and compliance.
   • Save custom prompts (e.g., *“Send ACORD 25 to [Holder Name] for [Insured]”*) for faster repeat workflows.
