Momentum AMS integrates with Microsoft OneDrive to make document storage and access easy and secure. This integration allows agencies to connect insureds directly to their designated OneDrive folders — providing cloud-based access to policies, certificates, and client documents right from within Momentum.
Benefits of Using OneDrive in Momentum AMS
Secure file storage — Files are backed up automatically in OneDrive.
Simple organization — Each insured can have their own mapped folder.
Cloud access — Documents are accessible from any device.
Automatic recognition — Once mapped, Momentum remembers the folder for each insured.
Step 1: Open the Insured Record
From the left-hand navigation, select Insureds.
Search for and open the insured you want to connect.
Click on the Documents → Files tab.
You’ll see your current file list and available cloud storage integrations.
Step 2: Connect to OneDrive
Click the OneDrive icon or button in the Documents / Files section.
A Microsoft sign-in window will appear.
Enter your Microsoft account email and click Next.
If you don’t have an account, click Create one! to set up a free OneDrive account.

Once signed in, you’ll be prompted to grant permission for Momentum (NowCerts) to access your OneDrive account.
Click Accept to allow Momentum to connect and manage your files securely.

Step 3: Select and Map the Insured Folder
After successful authentication, Momentum will display your OneDrive folder structure.
Browse through your folders to locate the insured’s folder.
For best practices, create or maintain a root-level folder for each insured.
Select the insured’s folder and click Submit to complete the mapping.
Momentum AMS will confirm that your folder has been successfully connected.
Step 4: Access Files in Momentum
Once the folder is mapped:
All future uploads from the insured’s Documents / Files section will automatically save to that OneDrive folder.
You can open, download, or add new files without re-linking the account.
Momentum remembers the mapping automatically
Step 5: Folder Management Best Practices
To keep your OneDrive structure efficient:
✅ Create a dedicated folder for each insured at the root level.
✅ Avoid renaming or moving mapped folders after setup (to prevent broken links).
✅ Use descriptive file names and subfolders (e.g., “Certificates,” “Renewals,” “Signed Apps”).
✅ Ensure only authorized staff have access to your agency’s shared OneDrive directory.
Troubleshooting Tips
Missing Folder List: Ensure your OneDrive account is active and authorized for API access.
Access Denied: Sign out of Microsoft and retry the connection — this refreshes the authentication token.
Incorrect Mapping: You can remap by returning to the insured’s Documents / Files tab and selecting a new folder.
Summary
Connecting OneDrive to Momentum AMS provides your agency with a secure, centralized, and automated document management system. Once an insured folder is mapped, Momentum remembers the connection, allowing seamless document storage and retrieval every time you access that client.
