Not all carriers use IVANS to send download data. Some use an alternative process called TeamUp (or in Progressive’s case, Downloader Plus). Here’s how to manage those downloads in Momentum AMS.
Step 1 – Set Up TeamUp (or Downloader Plus)
If your carrier does not use IVANS, they will help you set up a TeamUp account.
These programs receive AL3 files directly from the carrier.
Step 2 – Save AL3 Data Sessions
Once TeamUp is set up, you will receive AL3 data sessions.
Save these sessions to a computer drive of your choice (most commonly the Local Disk (C:) drive).
Step 3 – Upload AL3 Files to Momentum AMS
From the left navigation menu, go to Carrier Downloads.
In the top-right corner, click Upload AL3 Files.
Select the saved AL3 session file(s) from your computer.
Step 4 – View & Merge
Uploaded sessions will appear in your List of Sessions.
From here, you can View and Merge them — just as you would with IVANS downloads.
Merging ensures duplicate records are consolidated and new policy/endorsement data flows into your AMS correctly.
✅ Even if your carrier doesn’t use IVANS, you can still manage their downloads smoothly through the Upload AL3 Files workflow in Momentum AMS.
