Carrier downloads allow Momentum AMS to automatically receive policy, commission, and claims data from your insurance carriers — saving your agency time and reducing manual entry errors.
This step-by-step guide walks you through the complete setup process, including obtaining an IVANS mailbox, configuring your IVANS Exchange settings, and submitting your setup form to Momentum AMS.
Obtain an IVANS Account
To begin receiving carrier downloads, your agency must have an active IVANS mailbox.
Contact one of your appointed carriers and request sponsorship for an IVANS account.
Once approved, you will receive your mailbox credentials via email from IVANS.
Note: IVANS mailboxes are free, but you must be sponsored by a carrier to get one.
Check Carrier Compatibility
Not all carriers use IVANS for downloads. Before proceeding:
- Contact each of your carriers to confirm whether they support downloads.
- Determine whether they use IVANS, TeamUp, or another system.
- If the carrier uses TeamUp or provides direct downloads, request their specific setup instructions.
- For a list of commonly supported IVANS carriers, review the IVANS Carrier Availability List.
Configure Your IVANS Exchange Account
Once your IVANS mailbox is active:
Go to IVANS Exchange and log in.
Click the ☰ menu (three horizontal bars) in the top-right corner.
Select Agency Profile from the menu.
Scroll to the Mgmt. System section.
Update the management system setting to match Momentum AMS or NOWCERTS configuration requirements.
Click Save.

Submit the Carrier Download Configuration Form
Momentum AMS needs your IVANS credentials to complete the integration.
Visit the Momentum Carrier Download Request Form (or access it through the onboarding materials).
Complete the form with:
Your agency details
Your IVANS mailbox name
Any known active carrier appointments
Submit the form to the Momentum AMS support team.
Setup by Momentum AMS Support
Once your request form is received:
The Momentum AMS support team will configure your agency’s mailbox connection in the system.
You will receive a notification once the setup is complete and the first downloads have been tested.
⚙️ No further action is needed on your end until confirmation is received.
Verify Carrier Downloads
After setup:
Log in to Momentum AMS.
Go to Carrier Downloads in the main menu.
Confirm that downloaded policies, transactions, or commissions are appearing.
Check for any errors or unmatched data.
If downloads are not populating as expected, contact support for troubleshooting.
