Creating an Invoice for an Additional Interest (i.e., Mortgage Company)

Creating an Invoice for an Additional Interest (i.e., Mortgage Company)
There are times when an invoice needs to be directed to an additional interest — such as a mortgage company — rather than the insured. Momentum AMS makes this possible by letting you adjust billing details, select the correct recipient, and generate the proper documentation without creating duplicate invoices.

Creating the Invoice

  • Go to the Billing section of the policy.

  • Review the premium, taxes, and fees that need to be included.

  • Make sure the invoice is set as Agency Bill – Paid in Full.

  • Save the changes and generate the transaction.

  • If necessary, also generate the payable to net out agency commissions.

Updating the Recipient

  • Navigate to Documents → Invoices and Receipts.

  • Locate the invoice you just created and click Edit under Actions.

  • In the Billed To field, change the default setting from Insured to Additional Interest Party.

  • Select the correct Mortgage Company or other additional interest from the list.

Finalizing and Sending

  • Review the invoice to ensure all information is correct.

  • Save the changes.

  • Choose whether to email, print, or download the invoice for distribution.

  • Preview the invoice to confirm that the additional interest appears as the billed party.

Final Thoughts

Creating invoices for additional interests in Momentum AMS ensures that billing is directed to the right party while keeping agency records accurate. This workflow eliminates duplicate entry, supports proper documentation, and helps agencies service both insureds and their financial partners more efficiently.
