How to Use the Carrier List in Momentum AMS

The Carrier List in Momentum AMS is an essential tool for managing insurance carriers that your agency works with.

Step 1: Accessing the Carrier List

To begin, log into Momentum AMS and navigate to the Contacts section from the left-side navigation. Click on Carriers to open the Carrier List, which displays all the insurance carriers associated with your agency. If you need to add a new carrier, click the + Add New button at the top of the page.

Step 2: Searching and Filtering Carriers

The search bar and filters at the top of the Carrier List allow you to refine your results based on specific criteria. Agencies can filter carriers by:

  • Carrier Name to find specific providers quickly.
  • Status to display only active or inactive carriers.
  • Parent to see what carriers are associated with a specific Parent Carrier.
  • Tags to group and categorize carriers for better organization.

Once filters are applied, the Carrier List updates automatically, allowing users to focus on the most relevant data.

Step 3: Customizing the Carrier List View

The Carrier List is fully configurable, allowing users to choose which columns to display and rearrange their order.

  1. Click on the Configurator Icon in the top right.
  2. Select or deselect columns to adjust the displayed data.
  3. Drag and drop columns to arrange them in the preferred order.
  4. Save your settings to maintain a personalized view.

This customization ensures that agencies always have easy access to the most important carrier details.

Step 4: Making Bulk Updates with Batch Actions

For agencies managing multiple carriers at once, Batch Actions Mode provides a fast and efficient way to apply updates.

To enable Batch Actions Mode:

  1. Click the Checkmark Icon at the top of the list.
  2. Select multiple carriers.
  3. Apply bulk changes, such as:
    • Assigning tags for better classification.
    • Updating carrier statuses (active or inactive).
    • Reassigning agents responsible for managing carrier relationships.
  4. Click the Checkmark Icon again to exit Batch Actions Mode.

Batch actions help agencies save time and ensure consistency across carrier records.

Step 5: Exporting Carrier Data for Reports

Momentum AMS allows users to export carrier data for reporting, compliance, or analysis.

  1. Click the Export Icon at the top of the page.
  2. Choose between CSV or Excel format.
  3. Save or email the file for further use in carrier management or performance tracking.

This feature is useful for agencies that need to track carrier relationships, monitor assigned agents, or share carrier data with stakeholders.

Step 6: Keeping Carrier Records Updated

To maintain an accurate Carrier List, it’s important to regularly update carrier details, status, and assigned agents. Using filters, batch actions, and the export feature, agencies can ensure their carrier database remains organized and useful.
