How to Set Up Call Pop in Momentum AMS with Your VoIP Application

Call pop, also known as screen pop, is a powerful feature that automatically displays customer information in Momentum AMS when you receive an incoming call. This allows you to quickly access relevant details and provide better service. Here's how to set up call pop with your VoIP application (e.g., RingCentral, Vonage):

1. Enable External App Launching in Your VoIP Application

  • Open your VoIP application's desktop app or plugin.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Look for an option like "Launch an external app or URL on incoming call."
  • Make sure this option is enabled.

2. Configure the Call Pop URL

  • In the "Execute Command" field, paste the following URL:

  • Important:
    • Replace www3 with the correct server number from your Momentum AMS URL (e.g., www4).
    • The %P placeholder is specific to RingCentral. Consult your VoIP application's documentation for the correct placeholder to use for the caller's information.

3. Final Steps

  • Ensure you are logged into both Momentum AMS and your VoIP application in your default browser.
  • Test the integration by making a call from a number stored in your Momentum AMS database. Upon receiving the call, a new browser tab should open in Momentum AMS, displaying the caller's record. A note with a timestamp will also be automatically created.
