Creating an Insured

  1. Navigate to the "+" Menu:
    • Option 1: From the main screen, click on the “+” icon and select “Insured.”
    • Option 2: From the navigation menu, click on “Insured.”
  2. Select "Add New Insured":
    • In the top right corner of the screen, click on “Add New Insured.”
  3. Search for Existing Insurance:
    • A search list will appear to help you avoid duplication.
    • Start typing a few letters of the insured's name to check if they already exist in the system.
  4. Manage Columns:
    • Adjust the view by managing the type, which controls which columns are expanded or minimized.
    • For example, selecting "Commercial" will display different columns than "Personal."
  5. Enter Insured Details:
    • Name: Enter the name of the insured.
    • DBA (Doing Business As): If applicable, enter the DBA name.
    • Greeting Name: Enter a greeting name.
    • FEIN Number: Enter the Federal Employer Identification number.
    • Acquisition Date: Enter the acquisition date.
    • Preferred Language: Select the preferred language.
    • Insured and Customer ID: Enter the insured ID (e.g., DOT number).
  6. Hover Over Info for More Details:
    • Hover over the info icons to see how each field can be used for various numbers or IDs.
  7. Set Additional Details:
    • Insured Status: Indicate if the insured is active.
    • Primary Office: If there are multiple locations, assign the insured to a specific location.
    • Type of Business: Select the type of business.
    • Address Information: Enter the address details.
    • Referral Source: Indicate who referred this business.
    • Description: Provide a description of the insured.
    • Principal/Coinsured: Add any principal or coinsured contacts.
    • Driver Information: If applicable, designate them as a driver on record.
  8. Enter Contact Information:
    • Add phone numbers, emails, and the website of the client.
  9. Suspend Notifications (if needed):
    • Use the suspended notifications tool to disable or suspend notifications like renewals, cancellations, expirations, and birthday emails for this specific client.
  10. Assign Agents or CSRs:
    • Assign the responsible agents or Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to this client.
  11. Additional Fields for Life or Health Options:
    • If you selected a life or health insurance option, additional fields will expand for you to complete
