Client-Submitted Service Requests in Momentum AMS

Client-Submitted Service Requests in Momentum AMS

Service Requests in Momentum AMS provide insureds with a convenient way to submit policy change requests through the Client Portal. By allowing clients to enter their own requests, agencies can streamline workflows, reduce manual data entry, and ensure accuracy in policy updates.

Understanding Client-Submitted Service Requests

The Client Portal serves as a self-service tool that enables insureds to submit service requests at their convenience. Instead of contacting an agent via phone or email, clients can log in and submit detailed requests for policy changes. This reduces miscommunication and allows agents to process updates more efficiently. Once submitted, these requests appear in the agency’s Service Requests List for review and action.

Accessing the Client Portal

Clients must log in to the Client Portal with their unique credentials. If an account has not been set up, the agency can send an invitation to the insured to register. Upon logging in, clients can access their dashboard, which provides an overview of their policies, documents, and the Service Requests feature.

Submitting a Service Request

From the Client Portal dashboard, insureds can navigate to the Service Requests section and create a new request. The system prompts them to choose a request type, ensuring that all necessary details are captured. The available options include:

  • Driver Requests – Adding, replacing, or removing a driver.

  • Vehicle Requests – Adding, replacing, or transferring a vehicle.

  • Address Change – Updating an insured’s address.

  • Certificate of Insurance (COI) – Requesting a new or updated certificate.

  • General Requests – Any other service request not covered by predefined categories.

After selecting the request type, clients must enter all required details. For example, adding a driver requires inputting the driver's name, license number, and other identifying information. If requesting a COI, the insured must specify the certificate holder and any additional insured details.

Reviewing and Submitting the Request

Before submission, clients can review their entries to ensure accuracy. Supporting documents, such as a driver’s license or proof of address, can be uploaded directly through the portal. Once the request is finalized, clicking Submit Request sends it to Momentum AMS, where it is logged for agency review.

Agency Review and Processing

Once submitted, the request appears in the Service Request List with a Pending status. Agents can open and review the details, ensuring all necessary information has been provided. If everything is complete, the agency processes the request, applies policy updates as needed, and marks the request as Completed when finalized. The client then receives an update confirming the completion of their request.

Benefits of Client-Submitted Service Requests

This feature offers several advantages for both clients and agencies:

  • Convenience for Insureds – Clients can request policy updates anytime without waiting for business hours.

  • Reduced Manual Data Entry – Since clients input their own details, agents spend less time collecting and entering information.

  • Improved Accuracy – Clients provide precise information, minimizing the risk of errors due to miscommunication.

  • Faster Processing – Agents can efficiently review and act on requests without unnecessary back-and-forth communication.

Conclusion

Client-submitted Service Requests simplify policy servicing by allowing insureds to request changes directly through the Client Portal. This self-service functionality enhances efficiency, improves accuracy, and reduces the workload on agency staff. By leveraging this feature, agencies can provide a smoother, more responsive experience for their clients.
