How to Unlock the QuickBooks Lock on an Endorsement in Momentum AMS
When an endorsement is locked due to QuickBooks integration, it must be unlocked before modifications can be made. This process involves clearing the QuickBooks mapping in Momentum AMS. Clearing the mapping only removes the lock in Momentum and does not delete the transaction in QuickBooks.

Best Practice: Only clear mappings when you are certain adjustments are needed. If the endorsement has already been exported, make corrections carefully to avoid duplicate or conflicting entries in QuickBooks.

1️⃣ Locate the Endorsement

Navigate to Miscellaneous Accounting Items in Momentum AMS.
Find the endorsement that has synced with QuickBooks.
Look for entries labeled “QuickBooks Not Exported” or “QuickBooks Exported.”
Confirm by checking the QuickBooks Sync Date to see whether the transaction was exported.

2️⃣ Identify the Endorsement to Unlock

Select the endorsement that needs to be unlocked.
