Momentum AMS offers a huge library of reports in Interactive Reports, providing multiple angles into your revenue, production, and commission data. Some reports are directly focused on commission tracking, while others offer supporting insights to help identify trends, verify accuracy, and improve forecasting.
For day-to-day commission monitoring, you’ll primarily use Agency Commission and Agent Commission reports, along with select Production & Revenue and Performance Assessment reports. You can also use the Agency Overview dashboard for a real-time, balance sheet–style snapshot of your agency’s financial health.
Step 1: Access Commission-Focused Reports
From the main menu, go to Interactive Reports and use the following key reports:
Agency Commission Reports
Agency Commission By Carrier – Compare commissions received from each carrier.
Agency Commission By MGA – Review commissions by managing general agency.
Agency Commission By Referral Source – Analyze commissions based on where the business originated.
Agent Commission Reports
Agent Commission By Carrier – Track individual agent production by carrier.
Agent Commission By MGA – See which MGAs produce the most agent commission.
Agent Commission By Referral Source – Identify referral sources driving the highest agent commissions.
? Note: These are just a small sample of the reports available. The Interactive Reports section includes many other views that allow you to analyze your revenue and performance from multiple perspectives.
Step 2: Supporting Reports for Commission Analysis
These reports aren’t labeled as “commission” reports but provide essential context:
Production & Revenue
Production and Revenue By Policy – Shows revenue generated at the policy level.
Production and Revenue By Endorsement – Breaks out commissionable endorsements.
Revenue Policy Amounts – Displays revenue and premium amounts for quick comparison.
Performance Assessment
Agency Commissions Net Agents Commission – Compare agency and agent commission totals.
Agency Commissions Based on Rules – Project expected commissions based on current rules.
Producer Commissions By Agent – Review each producer’s commission totals for a period.
Agency Monthly Commission Payments with Balances – Monitor payments by month and remaining balances.
Step 3: Apply Filters
When running these reports:
Filter by date range (endorsement effective date, commission received date, etc.).
Narrow by carrier, MGA, or agent for targeted review.
Use statement status filters to compare reconciled vs. unreconciled commissions.
Step 4: Use the Agency Overview
The Agency Overview in Momentum AMS provides a high-level, interactive snapshot of your agency’s performance for any selected month and year. You can filter results by location, agent, or CSR to view production, premium, and commission-related data specific to your selection.
Main View Includes:
Active Customers & Policies – Displays counts, premiums, and breakdowns by commercial and personal lines.
New vs. Lost Customers – Tracks growth or attrition in premium and policy count.
Revenue by Customers & Policies – Loadable charts showing revenue distribution.
Commission Summary – A quick view of total commissions for the selected period, with links to detailed reports.
Performance Assessment – Provides a scorecard of agency and producer performance.
Premium Segmentation – Groups customers by number of active policies or annualized premium range.

Month vs. Month Overview
? Tip: For commission tracking, the Commission Summary widget and Production and Revenue links are the fastest way to confirm totals without running a full interactive report.
Viewing Trends
Click the chart icon at the top of the Agency Overview to access Overview Trends, which displays monthly historical data for either customers or policies.
You can filter by date and agent, and view:
Totals Overview – Active and new policies with corresponding premium for each month.
Personal Overview – Month-by-month active and new personal lines policies and premium, with percentage changes.
Commercial Overview – Month-by-month active and new commercial lines policies and premium, with percentage changes.
This is especially useful for spotting seasonal trends, production spikes or drops, and long-term premium growth patterns.
Step 5: Export or Print Reports
Export to CSV or Excel for deeper analysis or cross-referencing with carrier statements.
Print to PDF for sharing with stakeholders or archiving for compliance.
