If you notice that not all commissions from a carrier statement appear during reconciliation in Momentum AMS, it usually means that one or more policy endorsements have not yet had a transaction generated in the system.
This article walks you through how to identify, locate, and generate these missing transactions so your reconciliation matches your carrier’s commission statement.
Steps
Step 1: Identify the Discrepancy
Compare your carrier’s commission statement to the Not Reconciled page in Momentum AMS.
Look for any transactions listed on the carrier’s statement that do not appear in Momentum AMS.
Step 2: Locate Affected Policies
For each missing transaction, determine the corresponding policy and endorsement in Momentum AMS.
Confirm that the endorsement exists in the system but does not have a generated transaction.
Step 3: Generate the Missing Transactions
Navigate to the affected policy in Momentum AMS.
Locate the specific endorsement associated with the missing transaction.
Click Generate Transaction to create the required payable and receivable records for that endorsement.
Step 4: Verify the Missing Transactions
Return to the Not Reconciled page in Momentum AMS.
Confirm that the missing transactions now appear in the list.
Step 5: Complete the Reconciliation
Once all missing transactions have been generated and appear on the Not Reconciled page, proceed with reconciling the statement as usual.
Follow your normal reconciliation process to finalize the statement.
For detailed instructions, see Reconciling Agency Commissions.
Best Practices
Always verify that each endorsement in a carrier statement has a corresponding transaction in Momentum AMS before starting reconciliation.
Use the Not Reconciled page as your primary reference when matching to the carrier statement.
Address missing transactions immediately to prevent reconciliation delays.
If missing transactions occur frequently, review your policy workflow to ensure transactions are being generated consistently.
