Understanding the Meaning of Common Icons in Momentum AMS
Momentum AMS uses functional icons across many screens to perform quick actions like filtering, exporting, searching, or toggling features.
Many of these icons appear in multiple areas of the system and work the same way wherever you see them.

Common Functional Icons
Icon Appearance | Name | Description / Function |
---|---|---|
Dollar sign ($) icon | Show Totals | Displays total amounts for the current list or report view. Often used on financial screens to quickly calculate totals. |
Check mark icon | Toggle Batch Actions | Activates batch action mode, allowing you to select multiple records at once. |
Stacked papers icon | Batch Actions Menu | Appears after batch actions are toggled on. Allows you to apply changes to all selected records. |
Magnifying glass icon | Search | Opens the search filter bar to find records within the current view. |
Circular arrow icon | Reload/Refresh | Refreshes the current list or report to show the most recent data. |
Square with upward arrow icon | Export | Exports the current list or report into Excel/CSV format. Represented by a square with an arrow pointing upward. |
Rectangle with two squares | Configurator | Opens customization options for the current view (e.g., choose columns, save a view). |
Left-right arrow icon | Toggle Fit | Adjusts column widths so all data fits within the visible screen. |

Tips for Using Functional Icons
Hover to learn – Placing your cursor over an icon will display a tooltip with its function.
Same icon, same action – Icons work the same across different sections of the system.
Batch workflow – To use batch actions, first click the check mark (toggle batch actions) and then the stacked papers (batch actions menu) to apply changes.
Configurator power – The rectangle with two squares icon is key for tailoring lists to show exactly the data you want.
